Brooklyn is a great place and lucky to have this great museum. Get ready for a pricey ticket for the privilege of walking thru the woke side of racism via master pieces. Being from the mid-west I'm… Full review by peeper1009

Impressive collection in a wonderful venue. Overshadowed by the Met in Manhattan, but certainly well worth a visit. The Asian art collection is excellent. Full review by Waterloonie
Is it allowed to check luggage at the Brooklyn Museum? We are planning on visiting theee on our last day in NYC, right before heading to LaGuardia Airport. Being able to leave our bags at the coat check (we will each have 1 suitcase with us) would make everything go smoothly.

Grumo, thanks for your response. We did not end up going to the Brooklyn Museum our last day - the time was just too close and we thought we would get to the airport early in case we might take an earlier flight. But all indications we found said that you could bring a suitcase to the Brooklyn Museum and they would let you check it. We may find out next time!
On Saturday July 7, i understand the Bowie exhibit advance tickets are sold out. What time do we need to get there to get walk-up tickets? Will those tickets be for entrance later in the day? Thanks

Hi there, the tickets we had were advance and in strict entrance time. We got there early to try and get in and had to wait til our allotted time. It looks like the even might be full, my friend. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was. Try ringing the box office before just turning up. Good luck. It was awesome.

Not sure ... we didn’t have advance tickets. We did walk-up tickets, arrived at noon & just barely got 3 of the last tickets for last showing at 5pm
I’m buying the “standard” ticket for the Bowie exhibit. How flexible is the museum with your scheduled time. If I buy a ticket for 3:00, do I have to get there exactly at 3:00? Thanks

I can only base on my experience. We showed up at the exhibition on time, but waited in a queue for at least 20 min before our passes were scanned and we entered.
