As tributes and farewell wishes continue to pour out for Brazoria County deputy Jesus Vargas, we wanted to share ways the Sheriff's Office is encouraging the community can honor the slain officer’s memory.

The officer who died was identified as Jesus Vargas, a 17-year veteran of the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office. Police later killed the suspected shooter, 56-year-old Robert Davis III, after an hours-long manhunt.
