Carrie Underwood handled a musical mishap at the inauguration of President Trump like a pro, improvising and singing a cappella after the soundtrack didn't play.

Country superstar Carrie Underwood performed “America the Beautiful” at the inauguration of President Donald Trump on Monday. But there was a problem.

Carrie Underwood may have taken the national stage at Donald Trump's inauguration — but her viral performance did not do much to move the needle when it came to her streaming numbers. Underwood, 41, belted out an a cappella rendition of "America the Beautiful" at the U.

Underwood received backlash on social media as soon as her performance at the event was announced. One fan wrote on X: “ Carrie Underwood is [performing] at Trump’s inauguration so I’m blocking her on all apps and boycotting all her music.”

The "American Idol" alum was afforded a global audience when she performed at President Donald Trump's swearing-in ceremony.

Before being sworn into office in 2017, Trump hosted a concert at the Lincoln Memorial featuring performances by Toby Keith, Lee Greenwood and 3 Doors Down. "I don't apologize for performing for our country or military," Keith said at the time.
