Clifton homeowners work to clean up interior damage after plant explosion in Louisville
The damage from a massive explosion in the Clifton neighborhood stretches several blocks, but homes right behind the plant are in rough shape. Past Payne Street, on the other side of these tracks, you'll find another pocket of Clifton homeowners.
They remember last October when a thick film covered neighboring homes and cars after food coloring escaped from the plant.
A 2003 explosion at the Payne Street facility killed one worker and triggered a year-long federal investigation.
