Drake Hogestyn concluded his time as John Black on the long-running soap opera “Days of Our Lives” in a touching way. A rep for the show confirmed to People on Tuesday that Hogestyn, who tragically died from pancreatic cancer at age 70 on Saturday, starred in his final episode of “Days of Our Lives” on September 9.

Days of Our Lives fans have seen the last of John Black. Actor Drake Hogestyn, who died on Sept. 28 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, made his final appearance on the Peacock soap’s Monday, Sept.

Hogestyn died on September 28, and his final episode of the daytime hit had already aired prior to his demise. We’ve got even more bad news for Days of Our Lives fans in the wake of learning Drake Hogestyn had passed away over the weekend from pancreatic cancer. It seems we’ve already seen his final episodes as John Black.
