Texas law enforcement officials have charged former Sonoma County health director Barbie Robinson with a felony count of misusing public information, alleging she shared insider information with computing giant IBM in an attempt to steer the company a hefty contract.

HOUSTON - Barbie Robinson, the former executive director of Harris County Public Health, is facing a felony charge in an alleged bid rigging scheme. Court records show Robinson is charged with misuse of official information, which is a third degree felony.

Robinson is accused in court documents of sharing private information about the multi-million dollar deal to assist the company with being selected for the award. The charge comes just months after she was fired from her position during the process of a separate investigation.
