AMES − Iowa State left no doubt in its wire-to-wire victory over visiting IU-Indianapolis on Monday, improving to 3-0. The fifth-ranked Cyclones triumphed in a lopsided 87-52 men's basketball victory in their final game before next week's loaded Maui Invitational.

Monday, AP Poll voters moved the Cyclones to No. 5 in the AP Poll, which was their preseason ranking. Iowa State (2-0 overall) climbs two spots after an 82-56 win against Kansas City this week. ISU won its opening game against Mississippi Valley State by 39 and beat Kansas City by 26 last week.

The Badgers made their season debut in the national rankings Monday. They landed in the No. 19 spot in the Associated Press poll and No. 25 in the USA TODAYS Sports Coaches Poll. The rankings comes after what was a very productive first two weeks of the season for the Badgers.
