Los Angeles Chargers star Khalil Mack won’t play on Sunday night against the Cincinnati Bengals after all. Mack, battling an injury that sufferd a setback last week, missed all of practice leading up to Week 11 and headlined the team’s list of inactives:

INGLEWOOD — Outside linebacker Khalil Mack was sidelined Sunday for the first time in his Chargers tenure, sitting out Sunday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium because of a nagging groin injury suffered in a victory two weeks ago against the Cleveland Browns.

The Chargers have decided that they can do without either of them against the Bengals in a key AFC matchup. There could be an uptick in targets for Will Dissly. As for the absence of Mack, look for Tuli Tuipolotu and Bud Dupree to pick up the slack for him on defense.

Chargers outside linebacker Khalil Mack, who was listed as questionable for Week 11, will not play Sunday night against the Bengals. Mack, who did not practice this week, was initially injured in Week 9 against Cleveland and played just four snaps last week.

While Mack and even Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh had attmepetd to downplay the injury before Week 10, it’s clear now that he went out and struggled with it. From the sounds of it, he could be risking similar aggravation after appearing on the injury report this week, too.

Linebacker Daiyan Henley, who leads the Los Angeles Chargers and ranks 14th in the NFL in tackles this season with 82, was among three starting linebackers on the team's injury report ahead of a Sunday Night Football matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium.
