March Madness: NCAA Tournament returning to Des Moines in 2028
The NCAA announced hundreds of host sites for various sports over the coming years, including the 2028 men's basketball NCAA Tournament. Wells Fargo Arena will host first and second round matchups that year. Des Moines has also hosted the NCAA Tournament in 2016, 2019 and 2023.

The madness is returning to Des Moines! The NCAA has announced Wells Fargo Arena will host the first and second rounds of the 2028 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. Des Moines hosted the first rounds of the tournament last year and has also hosted in 2016 and 2019.
