Princess Kate has returned to Wales for the first time since she announced she was diagnosed with cancer in March last year. The Princess of Wales visited a children's hospice near Cardiff, which supports families in Wales to enable children with life-shortening conditions to live fulfilling lives.

The Princess of Wales is carrying out engagements in Wales showcasing the work of long-established organisations with community at their core. The royal visit will focus on spotlighting the wellbeing of children and families as well as celebrating excellence in Welsh textiles manufacturing – both of which are themes close to The Princess’ heart.

The Princess of Wales is visiting Tŷ Hafan children's hospice near Cardiff. She has today become patron of the hospice, following in the footsteps of both Diana, Princess of Wales and the King.
