The annual rivalry game between Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia will be played on Black Friday for the second year in a row. This year's game will be the first in history not played at one of the university's stadiums. ATLANTA - "Clean Old-Fashioned Hate" is now happening one day early this year.

For the second straight year, the Georgia versus Georgia Tech football rivalry will be played on a Friday. The 2025 version of the game was originally scheduled for Saturday, November 29th at Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta.

Georgia has played a game in Mercedes-Benz every year since the stadium opened in 2017. Most of those games were SEC championships, but the Bulldogs also played Alabama in the 2017-2018 national championship, Oregon in 2022 and Clemson in 2024 at Mercedes-Benz for the Bulldogs’ season opener.
