Proteas fast bowler Anrich Nortjie is set to miss the ICC Champions Trophy with an injury but a top batsman could also be ruled out.

Renamed the ICC Champions Trophy in 2002, the tournament changed from a two-year to a four-cycle after the 2009 competition that South Africa hosted. Pakistan was to host it in 2008. There has been an intense debate about the need to run the Champions Trophy in addition to the ICC's ODI World Cup.

Allrounder Shakib Al Hasan and wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das have been left out of Bangladesh's squad for the Champions Trophy.
