SEATTLE — A woman is in custody after allegedly smoking marijuana before her car rolled into Lake Washington over the weekend. The woman's teen sister, a passenger in the car, is "on life support" in the hospital, police say.

A 17-year-old girl is in critical condition, after a vehicle she was in plunged into Lake Washington Saturday. Authorities say she was in the lake for more than 30 minutes before Seattle Fire Department divers were able to bring her to the surface.

At least one person has been pulled from Lake Washington after a car ended up in the water near Rainier Beach Saturday evening.

Seattle rescue teams responded to a submerged car in Lake Washington, saving two young women, one in critical condition.

The car she was in fell into the water at a South Seattle boat ramp, and she was pulled from the lake after a half-hour search.

A woman is facing vehicular assault charges after a car rolled into Lake Washington Saturday evening which sent her and a teenage passenger to the hospital. Seattle Fire Department (SFD) posted on X that crews were responding to reports of a car in the water at the boat launch at Be’er Sheva Park in the 9000 block of Seward Park Ave S.

Police said the driver showed signs of impairment. She was taken into custody at the scene for vehicular assault.
