Steward Health Care officially owns no hospitals in Massachusetts. Here's what the hospitals' new owners plan to do going forward.

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey on Tuesday announced that five of bankrupt Steward Health Care’s hospitals have been transitioned to new operators, marking a “new chapter for health care” in the Bay State.

Massachusetts hospitals that survived Steward Health Care's bankruptcy are now being operated by a trio of local hospital groups. As of Monday morning, Gov. Maura Healey's office confirmed that Lifespan is the new operator of Morton Hospital and Saint Anne’s Hospital;
