Detectives in Florida say a suspected thief gulped down two pairs of diamond earrings during his arrest on the side of a highway last week.

Florida police have to wait for the “foreign objects” to pass through Jaythan Gilder’s digestive system before confirming they are the stolen earrings, officials said.

Glider has an extensive criminal record, including 48 active warrants in Colorado. He was previously charged with robbing a Tiffany & Co. store in Texas in 2022
