The way things look, it is shaping up that the Colts will have their top choice when it comes to filling the defensive coordinator role.

The Colts reached the playoffs twice and were a top-10 scoring defense three times in Eberflus’ four seasons as defensive coordinator. Chicago went 14-32 under Eberflus and never had better than the league’s 18th-best scoring defense.

New Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo travels a state over after six seasons as the Bengals DC. Following a down season in Cincy, the 58-year-old can once again prove he's one of the top defensive minds.

According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Falcons are hiring Jeff Ulbrich to be their next defensive coordinator. Ulbrich was previously the defensive coordinator for the New York Jets and took over as the interim head coach this season after Robert Saleh was fired.
