HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The security contract for restricted areas in the Lahaina Impact Zone will end at 6 p.m. on Friday. Recent completion of debris removal in commercial areas from the 2023 wildfires means security restricted areas will no longer be monitored, according to the county’s Maui Emergency Management Agency (MEMA).
