The Cincinnati Reds continued their roster build ahead of spring training with the acquisition of a left-handed arm to bolster the pitching staff.

The Cincinnati Reds are finalizing a trade with the San Francisco Giants for former University of Kentucky left-hander Taylor Rogers, FanSided and ESPN reported Wednesday. The Reds are sending minor league right-hander Braxton Roxby to the Giants in return,

The Cincinnati Reds are reportedly adding to their bullpen through a trade with the San Francisco Giants. On Wednesday, multiple reports indicated that the Reds are acquiring left-hander Taylor Rogers from the Giants. It’s not known what the Reds will be sending the Giants in the trade. The two clubs have not confirmed the deal.

After one year split between the San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers in 2022, Rogers joined his twin brother, Tyler Rogers, in the Giants' bullpen. In 64 games last year, Rogers logged a 2.40 ERA and 9.6 K/9.
