Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been officially nominated for NFL.com’s 2024 Rookie of the Year award, voted on by fans.

There’s a strong belief within the Broncos organization that the franchise’s revolving door of quarterbacks — 14 starters since Peyton Manning retired — has ended with Bo Nix in command. The rookie quarterback led the Broncos to a 10-7 regular-season record and their first postseason appearance since 2015.

According to beat reporter Zac Stevens, Nix suffered three fractures in his lower back towards the end of the regular season, but he kept on playing through the pain and discomfort. His injuries, which were more specifically process fractures of three vertebrae, occurred during the game against the Las Vegas Raiders way back on Nov. 24.

Through growing pains, bumps and bruises, Nix turned in quite an inaugural season, leading the Broncos to their first postseason appearance in nine seasons.

After being eliminated by the Buffalo Bills, the Denver Broncos have a reason to be optimistic for next season in the NFL with Bo Nix.

Despite losing in the playoffs, hopes are high for Nix and the Broncos' future. Especially after it was revealed on Monday that the former Oregon Duck QB suffered a fractured back and played through the injury, according to Broncos beat writer Zac Stevens. Nix initially suffered the injury in the 29-19 Week 12 win over the Raiders.

As Nix made a surprise entrance into Offensive Rookie of the Year conversations, he played through an injury more serious than the team let on.
