The New York Yankees have started spring training, and the drama is already starting. Marcus Stroman did not show up to the first two days of camp amid trade rumors. But he showed up on Friday and confidently said he was a starter and would not pitch in the bullpen.

Stroman arrived at Yankees camp after causing a stir with his absence earlier in the week. He was the Yankees’ only healthy pitcher who chose not to participate in the team’s opening workouts. “I don’t think there was a need for me to be here in the last few days, given the climate,” Stroman said.
