The most consequential NBA trade deadline is finally over and boy was it a busy one. Not only did we have blockbuster deals involving massive names like Luka Doncic, Anthony Davis and Jimmy Butler, we also had a bunch of much smaller deals.

The team added Luka Doncic, Mark Williams, Dorian Finney-Smith and three other players over the past six weeks, deals that appear to have short- and long-term benefits.

Center Anthony Davis was traded to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night in a deal that sent guard Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. Davis has yet to make his Mavericks debut as he's been dealing with an abdominal muscle strain and hasn't played since Jan. 28.

Anthony Davis commented for the first time on Monday since the blockbuster trade which saw him move from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Luka Dončić.

To get Williams, a former first-round pick, the Lakers sent rookie Dalton Knecht, a 2030 first-round pick swap and their 2031 unprotected first-round pick to the Hornets. The Lakers also included forward Cam Reddish to create a roster spot they could fill on the buyout market.

Mark Williams is heading to the Los Angeles Lakers. The 23-year-old rim-runner was acquired in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets. ESPN’s Shams Charania has reported that Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish and an unprotected 2031 first-round pick are heading in the opposite direction.
