The sale of the Boston Celtics is set to pick up momentum this week. The Boston Globe’s Adam Himmeslbach reported Monday that the Grousbeck family will work with JP Morgan and BDT & MSD banks to contract potential buyers and officially begin the process of selling their majority stake in the team.

The banks facilitating the sale of the Grousbeck family's stake will be in contact individuals who have expressed interest in the team, and other qualified buyers who have been targeted.

The sale of the Boston Celtics is about to tip off in earnest. BDT & MSD Partners and J.P. Morgan, whom the Grousbeck family retained as co-advisors for the sale, will reach out this week to a select group of “qualified buyers targeted for initial outreach” and others who have “expressed serious interest” in buying the franchise,
