Eamonn Holmes has been vocal in his criticism of his former This Morning colleague Phillip Schofield after the presenter admitted to having an affair with a younger co-worker.

"It's usually women who fall out in showbusiness but Eamonn and Phil's is by far the bitchiest, most vicious fallout in television."

Now, as Schofield has returned to screens and vowed to ‘say whatever I want about whatever I want’, Eamonn has claimed he’s ‘proud’ to have ‘thrown him under the bus’, and even compared him to disgraced broadcaster Huw Edwards, was spared jail just weeks ago after admitting to accessing indecent images of children as young as seven.

During a discussion about his TV return on GB News with co-host Isabel Webster, Holmes reacted angrily when Webster pointed out that Schofield “hadn’t done anything illegal”
