Ohio's first Buc-ee's in Huber Heights, a suburb on the north side of Dayton, was originally set to open in late 2025 after construction began in August 2024. A 2025 opening is "no longer feasible" due to "early project hiccups" that delayed the project, Buc-ee's Director of Real Estate and Development Stan Beard said in a statement.

Ohio's first Buc-ee's travel center, in Huber Heights just north of I-70, will not open in 2025 as originally projected. Representatives for the Texas-based company confirmed Tuesday the project has been delayed and the store is now expected to open in 2026.

“You were excited that Buc-ee’s was coming to you?” he asked. “Oh yeah,” answered James Webb. “Oh yeah. Love it.” Fletcher said that crews broke ground on the gas station back in August. Webb lives in Huber Heights. He said he’s never been to one and was excited to go because of all the buzz around the news.
