(Reuters) -Dating app operator Bumble said on Friday its founder and executive chair, Whitney Wolfe Herd, will become the chief executive of the company from mid-March after Lidiane Jones resigned as CEO.

Jones scrapped Bumble’s signature feature, which allowed only women to initiate the first message, and opened the option for men to lead.

Bumble Inc. Founder and Executive Chair, Whitney Wolfe Herd, will become Chief Executive Officer, effective mid-March 2025. Wolfe Herd will succeed Lidiane Jones, who has resigned from her role for personal reasons Bumble Inc.
