Dave Franco and Alison Brie’s Together became the first film on January 29. The market has been a bit slower this year — perhaps because the festival arrived amid ongoing fires in Los Angeles — but the couple’s body-horror film still stood out.

Franco was recently in A24’s “Love Lies Bleeding” with Kristen Stewart, which premiered at Sundance in 2024. He also appears in “Bubble & Squeak,” an off-beat comedy that appeared in the 2025 edition of Sundance, co-starring alongside Sarah Goldberg and Matt Berry.
