In a three-team blockbuster NHL trade, the Carolina Hurricanes added two key forwards from Colorado and Chicago.

The Carolina Hurricanes just pulled off the biggest trade in franchise history. In a three-team trade between Carolina, the Colorado Avalanche and the Chicago Blackhawks the Hurricanes took a swing for the fences.

The Carolina Hurricanes made one big blockbuster deal on Friday, but according to a Canucks reporter, they almost had another deal done. It's been a crazy 24 hours in the NHL, with the Carolina Hurricanes/Colorado Avalanche deal representing a major shift in the league which could change things up in both conferences.

The Hurricanes, in their history, have never traded for an in-his-prime superstar like Mikko Rantanen. This changes everything.
