Low-cost airline giant Allegiant Air announced Tuesday it will begin commercial air service in May 2025 from a developing airport in Gulf Shores. The announcement from the airline comes ahead of an official announcement inside a hangar at the Gulf Shores International Airport.

Allegiant Air will begin a huge expansion drive in 2025, with 44 new routes and three new cities being added to its network.

In 2025, Allegiant Airlines will offer routes at the Colorado Springs Airport as well as two new routes out of the Denver International Airport.

After an absence of more than six years, Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air is resuming service at Colorado Springs Airport with three new routes starting early next year.
