India's key stock market indices, the Sensex and Nifty 50, saw further gains on November 6, driven by reports of Donald Trump's substantial advantage in the 2024 US election, which enhanced investor sentiment.

The BSE Sensex continued its upward trend for the second consecutive day, climbing 901.50 points or 1.13 per cent to reach 80,378.

Among the major gainers on the BSE Sensex were HCL Tech, Infosys, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Finserv, and Tech M. In contrast, the biggest losers included Titan, Tata Steel, HUL, JSW Steel and Kotak Bank

Buying interest in select heavyweights such as Infosys Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Ltd, Reliance Industries Ltd, HCLTech, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank lifted the indices higher.

As many as 41 out of 50 constituent stocks of Nifty50 ended higher, led by BEL, Adani Enterprises, TCS, HCL Tech, and Wipro
