PepsiCo is now facing a federal lawsuit a week after it shut down its Back of the Yards plant without notice. Local Teamsters 727 filed the suit, accusing Pepsico of violating the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, also known as WARN.

The union representing the employees sharply criticized the closure, noting that the beverage giant failed to provide the required 60-day notice.
