Fleetwood Mac will finally get the official documentary treatment, with filmmaker Frank Marshall set to helm the authorized feature-length project for Apple. The film is currently untitled, and a release date has yet to be announced.

Fleetwood Mac was formed in London in 1967 and released its self-titled debut album the next year. Two of the band's most well-known albums include Fleetwood Mac (1975) and Rumours (1977), featuring Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood.

After telling the stories of everyone from The Beach Boys to The Bee Gees, Carole King and James Taylor, Frank Marshall has set up another high-profile music documentary at Apple — the first fully authorized doc on Grammy-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Fleetwood Mac.

Apple TV+ is making a Fleetwood Mac documentary. The streaming service’s Apple Original Films unit announced Tuesday that director Frank Marshall is making a fully-authorized documentary in which the members of the iconic rock band will tell their story in their own words for the first time ever.
