Makiah Dakota Lippencott, 25, was booked into the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office for discharging a firearm into occupied property and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to inflict serious injury. He’s being held without bond.

A road rage incident led to shots fired in a Gastonia Walmart parking lot, injuring one and resulting in an arrest.

Police in Gastonia are trying to sort out what happened during a suspected case of road rage that ended with a woman shot.

Emergency officials tell Channel 9 that one person has been taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds after some sort of shooting near a shopping center on East Franklin Blvd in Gastonia.

One person was injured and another was arrested after a shooting outside a Walmart on Sunday.The shooting happened around 7 p.m. on East Franklin Boulevard, according to the Gastonia Police Department.
