Democrats will keep their majority control of the Pennsylvania state House of Representatives next year after holding onto a Johnstown area seat.

The Pennsylvania House will remain under Democratic control in 2025 as the party held on to all 102 of its seats — including one in Trump country.

Republican Dave McCormick defeated incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey in Pennsylvania’s Senate race, The Associated Press projected, marking the 53rd Senate seat Republicans have captured in winning back the majority.

The Associated Press called the race for Republican David McCormick when Casey was trailing him by about 30,000 votes.
