Saudi Arabia has announced a significant investment of at least $600 billion in the United States over the course of the next several years. The commitment was made by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during a phone call with President Donald Trump.

The PGA Tour announced that it has asked President Donald Trump to help with the tour’s ongoing negotiations with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, the financial backer of the LIV Golf League. In a statement, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan and player-directors Tiger Woods and Adam Scott said the US president’s involvement could reunify the game of golf through an agreement with the Saudi Public Investment Fund.

Tour officials said the session at the White House “brought us closer to a final deal” that would be subject to Justice Department antitrust scrutiny.
