Two Thornton Township trustees plan to boycott Tuesday's scheduled board meeting, citing concerns over transparency and accountability.

Thornton Township Trustees Christopher Gonzalez and Carmen Carlisle are going to great lengths to stall movement on Henyard's plans for the township.

Two Thornton Township Trustees are preventing the board from conducting business Tuesday night by skipping the meeting. Christopher Gonzalez and Carmen Carlisle said in a joint statement they’ve made the “difficult decision” to skip the meeting.

Two trustees said the meeting’s agenda was not properly vetted and included items that could lead to unnecessary conflict.

The Reform Thornton Township Party is led by Harvey Mayor Christopher Clark with other Harvey officials running for trustee.
