Sara Lance an ex- Navy Seal turned NCIS agent has a good team and a stable life until MI6 operative Rip Hunter shows up with an undercover mission that he needs help with, and her whole life is turned upside down.

Sara is a hockey player who cant play hockey anymore, Ava is known as the Ice Queen who cant keep a partner. Theirs is a love/skate relationship.

She is the leader of the Legends following the departure of the team's founder, Rip Hunter. Sara is also the captain of the Waverider and a member of The League, as well as a former member of the League of Assassins and Team Arrow.

Sara was the last to arrive on the bridge and found everyone but Rip strapped into their seats. "Ah miss lance there you are." Rip greeted. She nodded in his direction but didn't greet him back, just continued walking towards her own chair.

As well as the message for the team, Rip leaves another message for Sara. Sara helps Rip get closure. Rip Dismisses the team after the destruction of vandal savage, returning them back to their original timelines. The team doesn't agree with his decision but he doesn't want to risk their lives anymore,thus, leaving them behind!..

Throughout the day Sara and Rip smiled as they worked near each other. After lunch Sara had fallen asleep in a common area and Ray smiled as he watched Captain Hunter cover her with a blanket. "So when are you going to tell her?"

After defeating Vandal Savage, Sara Lance makes an important life-altering decision. She returns to Star City to tell her father. Rip Hunter tags along. Very non-canon.

Next Rip traveled to Tibet to recruit Sara Lance/The Canary, a formerly deceased member of the League of Assassins and member of Team Arrow. After Sara fought several men harassing a young woman Rip appeared and rendered her unconscious.

In the spin-off series, Legends of Tomorrow, Sara is recruited by Rip Hunter to a time travelling team of rejects aimed at defeating the immortal villain Vandal Savage. Before she departs, Laurel gives Sara the White Canary name and outfit to signify her new start.

In which following his sacrifice with the time drive, Rip Hunter lands somewhere he isn't acquainted with and meets that earth's Sara Lance. Discussions of the past and parting ensue.
