May 17, 2024 · eBay or a local retro game store if you’re lucky enough to have them. I’ve not seen used ps2 games in a GameStop in a long time. Goodwill online may also have some occasional gems. Facebook marketplace or Craigslist as well but I’d steer clear of Amazon and their sellers they markup retro games a lot.

Jun 5, 2018 · Gamestop pays next to nothing for PS2 systems at this point and that's assuming you have a first controller and all the hook ups. No other accessories, controllers, or games. Frankly, you'd be better off throwing on craigslist for cheap as a bundle than anything else.

PS2 is the highest selling system of all time to date. It has one of the longest lifespans and the most games. Gamestop just cannot sell the PS2 stuff it has now.

The PS2 continued selling systems and mostly soccer (or football) games for countries like Brazil where the price of new consoles was, and continues to be, prohibitively expensive. Reply reply

Jul 26, 2018 · So a few months ago I was in a Gamestop and asked the employee working how soon it would be before Gstop starts taking in PS2 games again, and the guy working basically laughed me out of the store, even commented that "nobody wants those garbage games anymore." Fast forward to yesterday, exact same Gstop.
