Paul Heckingbottom (born 17 July 1977) is an English football coach and former player who is the manager of EFL Championship club Preston North End. After retiring as a player, Heckingbottom trained as a coach.

Paul Heckingbottom was appointed as manager of Sheffield United on a full-time basis in November 2021 as the successor to Slavisa Jokanovic. The Barnsley-born man began his playing career with Sunderland in 1995, but after failing to make an appearance, left for loan spells with Scarborough, Hartlepool United and Darlington.
