Dec 22, 2016 · Make sure you activate the "VSS" button on the headset the button is on the top left ear piece. It is the surround sound button. You will not notice a difference if that switch is off. Press and hold while you have the headset on and your PS4 is on it will show the surround sound icon when it is turned on.

And of course, I love the wireless aspect. I have about $200 I'm willing to spend. I want something that is wireless, simple like the PS headset, and will last a long time. Any recs?

Feb 17, 2016 · So my best friend damaged the (USB) dongle of his PS4 Gold Wireless headset. Is it useless now? I went to a few boards and it seems like they can't be replaced. According to a few people, it's "impossible to get a new dongle at all since they're paired at the factory". The whole headset is a piece of garbage now, because the dongle broke?

Aug 4, 2016 · 7.1 on any headset will sound flat. 2 channel sounds fine, tbh. Testing the freq response with my ECM8000, the Sony Gold's reproduce the most accurate sound profile. I've tried several other sets from TB, Tritton and the A40 and A50 and the Gold's are more accurate.

The Pulse Elite will need to review off the charts for me to buy it at this point. I'm already waiting to get the Apple AirPod Max assuming the next headset is USB-C and hopefully has lossless audio.

I also suggest that you don't play for longer then 1 hour at a time, it has it in the warnings before you play some games that playing for long periods time it's good to give your ears a break at least every hour, if your in the middle of something though you can just lower the sound to very low ...
